Disaster Masters SW (“Disaster Masters,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides water damage, mold remediation, fire and smoke restoration, and roofing services in Conroe and the greater Houston area. We serve customers in Texas only. This website is intended for people in Texas who are seeking services for property located in Texas. We do not offer services, direct advertising, or solicit business outside Texas. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through disastermasterssw.com, our forms, our phone lines, our online booking tools, and our text messages, and how we use, share, and protect it.

By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit your information. Optional analytics and advertising tools run only for visitors who appear to be in Texas, and you can turn them off at any time through the Privacy Choices link on every page or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal. Outside Texas, and whenever we cannot determine your location, those tools stay off.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly and some information automatically when you use our website.

Information you provide

  • Contact details such as your first and last name, email address, and phone number when you fill out our Get a Free Estimate, Contact Us, or Book Online forms.
  • Text message preferences, including whether you agreed to receive service texts, marketing texts, or both, and the date, time, and web page where you gave that consent.
  • Property and job details such as your service address, the type of damage, photos, and any notes you include in a message.
  • Insurance information you choose to share with us, such as your carrier name and claim number, so we can coordinate your restoration work.
  • Call information when you phone us, including your phone number, the date and length of the call, and call recordings and transcripts where permitted by law.
  • Messages you send us by text, email, or social media.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location based on IP address.
  • Approximate state location. We use your IP address to estimate which state you are in so we can apply our Texas-only tracking rule. This estimate is not precise, can be wrong when you use a VPN or a mobile network, and does not determine where you live.
  • Usage information such as the pages you visit, the links you click, how long you stay, and the website or ad that referred you.
  • Information collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, described in the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section below.

We do not collect payment card information through this website.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to run our business and serve you, including to:

  • Respond to your requests, provide estimates, and schedule inspections and service visits.
  • Perform restoration and roofing work and communicate with you about your job.
  • Coordinate with your insurance company or adjuster when you ask us to.
  • Send appointment reminders, job updates, and customer care messages by phone, email, or text, where you have agreed to receive them.
  • Send marketing messages about our services, only where you have agreed to receive them.
  • Keep records of your consent and opt-out choices.
  • Measure and improve our website, advertising, and customer service, including tracing which advertising led to a request or a job.
  • Apply our Texas-only tracking rule and honor your tracking preferences.
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We do not sell your personal information for money. For visitors in Texas who have not opted out, we share limited website activity data with the advertising and analytics providers named below so we can measure and improve our advertising. Some state laws treat that kind of sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can turn it off as described under Cookies and Tracking Technologies.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Disaster Masters SW may send two types of text messages, only to people who agree to receive them. You choose each one separately on our forms, and you can agree to one, both, or neither.

  • Service messages: texts about your estimate request, appointment scheduling and reminders, job status updates, and customer care.
  • Marketing messages: occasional promotions and special offers. We send these only if you check the separate marketing consent box.

Texts are sent to the mobile number you provide and may be sent using automated technology.

  • Consent: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service. You can still request an estimate or book service without agreeing to texts.
  • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your requests and active jobs.
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
  • Timing: We send marketing texts only between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Saturday, and between 12:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
  • Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You can also reply with words such as CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE, or tell us by phone at 833-225-5379 or email at info@disastermasterssw.com. We will honor your request promptly and within 10 business days. After you reply STOP, you will receive one confirmation message, and no further texts will be sent unless you opt in again.
  • Help: Reply HELP for help, or contact us at 833-225-5379 or info@disastermasterssw.com.
  • Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Records: We keep a record of when and how you gave consent and when you opted out, as described in the Data Retention section.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This excludes service providers that help us deliver messages, such as our messaging platform provider, who are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

For full program terms, see the SMS Terms section of our Terms & Conditions (https://disastermasterssw.com/terms-condition/).

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

How tracking works on this site. Optional analytics and advertising tools run only when you appear to be in Texas, based on an estimate from your IP address. If you appear to be outside Texas, or we cannot determine your location, those tools stay off. When they are on, a small notice tells you so and links to Privacy Choices, where you can turn them off with one click. A Privacy Choices link also appears on every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out from the first request. Your choice is saved in your browser; if you clear it, the Texas-only default applies again, and an active Global Privacy Control signal still prevails. Tools that are strictly necessary to operate the website, such as security and form-spam protection, run for everyone.

Our website uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tools to keep the site working, understand how visitors use it, and measure and improve our advertising. These include:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to measure site traffic and how visitors use our pages. Google Analytics assigns an identifier to your browser and records the pages you view.
  • Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam and abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. This tool is strictly necessary and runs for everyone.
  • The Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and, where enabled, Google Ads conversion tracking to measure ad results and show our ads to people who have visited our website. These tools assign an identifier to your browser and record the pages you view on our site. They run only for apparent Texas visits and only until you opt out.
  • Ad measurement using contact information. When you submit a form, we may share your email address or phone number in hashed (scrambled) form with Google and Meta so they can tell us whether our ads led to your request. They do not receive your form comments or text messaging consent. We do this only for Texas inquiries and not for visitors who have opted out.
  • CallRail call tracking, which shows different phone numbers on our site so we can tell which ads or pages led to a call. For apparent Texas visits that have not opted out, CallRail also assigns a visitor identifier to your browser and records the pages you visit so a call can be matched to its source. Calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality and training, and we will tell you at the start of the call when a call is recorded. Transcripts may be reviewed by automated tools to identify the type and urgency of the request.
  • Klaviyo, which sets cookies and records website activity so we can manage email and text communications and display sign-up forms.
  • LeadLedger, a lead-attribution service that records website visits, form submissions, calls, and chats, and uses automated tools to classify them, so we can tell which marketing led to a request or a job.
  • Google Fonts, which loads typefaces from Google servers and in doing so receives your IP address.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and delete existing cookies at any time. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, adjust Google ad personalization at Google Ad Settings, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Our website honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from the first request. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out from optional analytics and advertising tracking. You can also turn optional tracking off at any time using the Privacy Choices link on every page.

How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as needed to provide our services and run our business:

  • Service providers that host our website, manage forms, calls, email, text messaging, scheduling, analytics, lead attribution, and advertising on our behalf. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Insurance companies, adjusters, and mortgage companies involved in your claim or job, when you ask us to work with them.
  • Subcontractors and suppliers who help complete work at your property.
  • Legal and safety reasons, such as complying with a law, subpoena, or court order, or protecting the rights, property, or safety of our customers, employees, or the public.
  • Business transfers, if Disaster Masters SW is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We never share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties for marketing purposes. Advertising providers such as Google and Meta receive website activity data from apparent Texas visits as described above, and you can turn that off through Privacy Choices or a GPC signal.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. The criteria we use are:

Type of information How long we keep it
Inquiries, estimate requests, and customer and job records (including photos, invoices, and insurance correspondence) For as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you or a legitimate business need, such as responding to your request, warranty and insurance obligations, legal recordkeeping, or documenting your consent choices
Call recordings and transcripts For as long as needed for quality, training, and attribution purposes, subject to the retention settings of our call-tracking provider
Website analytics and lead-attribution data For as long as needed to measure and improve our website and advertising, subject to the retention settings of each provider
Text messaging consent and opt-out records For as long as you are subscribed, plus 4 years after you opt out, to document consent
Tracking preference records (your Privacy Choices selection, the state estimate, policy version, and time) 4 years

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete it or make it anonymous. We may keep information longer if required by law or to resolve a dispute.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our website and access limits on our business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our website may link to other sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep for legal, insurance, or warranty reasons.
  • Stop sending you marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email) or text messages (reply STOP or contact us).
  • Turn off optional analytics and advertising tracking at any time using the Privacy Choices link on every page or a Global Privacy Control signal. Turning tracking off stops future optional tracking; it does not delete information already collected. To request deletion, use the request process below.

Depending on where you live, including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act where it applies, you may have additional rights. To make a request, email info@disastermasterssw.com or call 833-225-5379. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing info@disastermasterssw.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal in writing within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Changes take effect when posted. We keep prior versions of this policy and will provide a copy on request.
